Our Story

A family business, built to last.

What began with one foam-insert business has grown into a full custom packaging operation, still independently owned, still rooted in Owatonna, Minnesota.

  • 1988 / 1989

    A family business begins

    Bob was approached about buying a business that made foam inserts. He and Donna purchased it, and FoamCraft Packaging was born.

  • 2002

    Adding wood

    A customer asks for custom pallets, and FoamCraft opens a wood shop, expanding beyond foam.

  • 2005

    Room to grow

    FoamCraft moved into its current building in Owatonna, MN, expanding its foam and wood production.

  • 2017

    Albert Lea Crating

    FoamCraft purchased Albert Lea Crating, broadening its custom wood crating capabilities.

  • 2025

    A new addition

    FoamCraft expands with a new building addition, adding more than 19,000 square feet of production space.
